WC&S covid-19 OPERATIONAL PLAN

As of February 28, 2022, the State of Connecticut and Town of Westport allow businesses, including barbershops, to reopen to full capacity, and have terminated mask mandates. We are closely following the guidance of the State of Connecticut and relevant health authorities, and taking every step to ensure your health and safety, as well as that of our team, so that we may welcome you back to the shop. Even though things are getting better, we remain cautious and will continue to work hard to make WC&S a safe place to visit and work.

We ask that you please review our operational plan carefully and check back from time to time, as many things have changed (and will evolve as we go). If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to me or any of our team. I look forward to seeing you in the shop soon!

-Cathy

Occupancy Reduction

  • Occupancy at WC&S will continue to be managed and minimized to avoid overcrowding the barbershop

  • All services are by appointment only – no walk-ins (feel free to call safely as you are driving past, however)

  • Clients must arrive on time or the appointment will be cancelled and rescheduled

  • We reserve appointments at the start of the day for our older and higher-risk clients – please email Cathy at info@westportcutshave.com to book your appointment

Health Considerations

  • Clients feeling ill or exhibiting any flu-like symptoms will need to reschedule their appointment

  • Clients living with or caring for someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 will need to wait to schedule an appointment for a date 5 days after that person has recovered and tested negative for COVID-19

  • Touchless temperatures of staff will be measured at the start of each day – staff with temperatures at or above 100.4 degrees are not be permitted to remain in the barbershop

 Operational Considerations

  • On top of our routine daily cleaning procedures, we thoroughly disinfecting equipment and surfaces between clients and every 30 minutes (barber chairs, hair washing sinks, register counters, credit card machine, and door handles); our team is aware of the importance of diligently using hand sanitizer and washing hands

  • Disposable cutting capes are used and disposed of after each client use or washable capes are used once and washed between uses
