Who Me?
Yes, you! Our services are available to everyone who wants to look their best, without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status.
Stop the clock!
How we wish we could! However, time waits for no-one, rust never sleeps, and if you are running late to your appointment for any reason, we will reschedule your appointment to the next available time. This isn’t out of greed (we don’t charge you a no-show or late fee), laziness (take a look at the book when you have a chance - we work hard), or malice (we love you, really). When you come to the shop, we sit you immediately. We can’t do that if someone before you is running late, and it would not be fair to make everyone after you start late either.
Children
We have them. We love them. If your child can sit up, sit still (that is a safety concern), and explain their needs to their barber, they are welcome to an appointment at any time. If not, or if they might need a little special attention, please call and talk to Cathy so we can best schedule and meet their needs.
Shhhh!
We love to chat, chew the fat, hear a joke, and get to know our clients, but we know you may want to relax in silence. Please feel free to talk or not, and let us know if we are not reading you correctly. This is your time.
Consultation
All services starts with a consultation. We will ask a few questions or answer yours. Your barber will guide you through the possibilities and together, you will come to an agreement. The benefits of using the same barber over time is that we can make plan for the future (length, shape, or color) of your hair and beard.
Hairwash
We are a barbershop. As part of that consultation you just read about (you did read that….didn’t you?), we will decide whether we will use scissors or a trimmer or both. Here is a well known fact among barbers: if you cut wet hair with trimmers, you tear the hair, clog the trimmer, and basically do a pretty poor job. Depending the best tools for the job, we may wash your hair before OR AFTER your cut.
Hot Towels
Hot Towels are used in all of our services. Hot towels soothe the skin, soften your beard and facial hair, and open the pores. Treatments with hot towels produce better, tighter results when shaving and lower the chances of red and irritated skin. They feel nice, too.
Look Your Best and Act Your Best
We understand that there are a lot of things going on in the world - near and far - that affect our happiness, emotions, and personal energy. If you are having a bad day and don’t feel up to having a positive interaction with our clients, your barber, and our staff, please feel free to call and reschedule for a better day. We enforce a zero tolerance policy when it comes to abusive or threatening behavior towards our clients and our staff.
Can you cut?
If you have read this far and can barber, maybe you want to work here. We are always looking for wonderful people who can cut hair and like helping others to look their best. We have amazing clients, work hard, laugh a lot, listen to a variety of music in the shop, and generally avoid the drama we have seen in so many other barbershops and salons.
